Wuste 2012 Las Vegas Photo Coverage

This year’s Wuste was unlike the previous one. The main plus was the proximity to the Las Vegas Strip. I decided to book my flight earlier to enjoy what Sin City has to offer. Instead of doing the typical touristy things, I got to meet some Gumballers as they arrived in town on May 30^th, and then head out with them to LA the next day on their final leg of the Gumball 3000 Rally.

On my drive to LA, I would think of what places to visit while I was there. As most of the trips I take in my life, I rarely plan it to the last detail and prefer to make spontaneous decisions. This time it led me to visit the Illest boutique in Little Toyko and Rotiform’s headquarters. My feature on them will come later.

As I mentioned, this year’s location is closer to strip as it was held at the Palace Station hotel. The show was spread out in all directions. People parked their rides on the high level parking lots. Car clubs took over the smaller parking space and the vendors had the open area in the blazing sun. Since I live my whole life in eastern Canada, I normally never experience temperatures past 86F (30C). With my luck, Vegas had record high temps of 100F (40C)! At times, it was too much for me to handle at the show.
