Waterfest 18 2012 Photo Coverage
The VAGScene team was present this year at the 18th annual VW & Audi car show Waterfest. Much like every year, we try to wake up to get to the show before the large line up of cars begins. To our surprise, we found out that some people came as early as 7am to wait in line. The show only opened at 12.
Our matte black Touareg was parked next to the Dubkorps booth near the stands. For those that passed by, we were handing out some free VAGScene stickers. They pretty much all disappeared quickly.
The show was quite packed this year with about 15% more vendors than in previous years. We found the APR booth to the most impressive. Their trailer and tent kept the crowd in the shade. Displays of their parts were presented neatly for people to look at. An army of sales staff were on hand to answer and assist people curious of their services and products. What awed us the most were the car lifts that were setup on the show-grounds. We have never seen this at an event, and we were not expecting to see a company actually be able to install performance parts on the spot. Cheers to them for stepping up the game.
Other than that, the show was quite fun to attend. We got to see many familiar faces in the crowds. We checked the weather before going to the show, and it called for rain. We were lucky it held up throughout the weekend.
The next and final large show of the year for us will be H2Oi. It’s just around the corner which makes it seem like the 2012 season went by too quick. Keep an eye out for us there.
