Plan was good but didnt work... Normaly the meeting before is a meeting of the finest cars and best tuners in the scene. But last year we saw that it starts to get out of control so most of us wanted a meeting 2 weeks before... Result: because of different holidays and weekends, the idiots came out and makes it the worst meeting ever... Police control everyday, Burnouts everywhere, drunken people on the streets, the famous gas station "Mischkulnig" was over and over of garbage,absolutly worst case.. Anyway... Most of the "elite" tuners didnt care about this and we have had our funny days. Really nice cars from "Blackbox Richter" which did a great job with wrapping cars, "gepfeffert.com" from Andi Pfeffer, with low static cars in great colors, RPCARDESIGN with his Golf MK2 with about 400 hp, Marco Forstmann with his "Bomber 3.0", Philipp Steidl with the lowest static Polo MK V and Mike Grosspietsch with his Polo MK V on Air... The "Low Familia" with awesome Team Members and theyr beautiful cars, Ben Gee with his incredible Golf MK V with new Vossen Wheels. For those that aren't familiar with it, it's basically one of the best Volkswagen/Audi events out there. It's held in a small German-esque town of Helen, Georgia. This was going to be the next car for us to shoot during that weekend in Ocean City. It had to happen, and so it did. Lucky for us, Steve knew the owner, Diogo of AMS Autowerks, and called him up. We cruised together with other AMS Autowerks cars back to the strip. The roaring sound of this beast 993 was so amazing to listen to during the drive. We setup our shoot at the end of 54th Street Oceanside. Since Diogo had to head back to Jersey that night and the sun was setting quickly, we had to rush the photos and video. Most of you have probably already seen what Jordan Donnelly presented. As you see in one of his pictures, the backdrop was changed to that of mountains up north in Canada. Jérémie Bérubé got the car back in 2009 with a 1.8L 16V Turbo engine, but he soon realized he was not satisfied with his purchase. There were problems here and there. So he took the leap and stripped the car down. Redoing the floor, sold the engine, and built it back up to prime condition. Jérémie's worked previously on his friend's MK2 at school and it seems this had influenced him in getting one for himself. It prepared him for his build. What amazes me the most was his long dedication to the project. Spending years in a garage fiddling with wires, bodywork, and the engine build. Luckily he was not alone in doing all the work. Volkswagen veteran in our local scene, Dan Webber, helped Jérémie with building the engine. Gab from GabEurosport being experienced in wiring did all of that, including the custom fabrication like the exhaust and piping. Finally SuperDave from StanceDubs fixed and tuned the SDS standalone management. What Jérémie liked the most about his car was that he kept the original engine and pushed it to something unique and fun to drive. Where ever drives, people of all sorts give him a thumbs up for having such a classic car. Last summer was when the Golf finally hit the road after patiently waiting being put together. Even though so much time and effort were put into it, Jérémie sold the car so invest in buying a home. (Not long after, he got himself an Audi A4 and promised not to mod it... we all know that's a lie...)
